How did we do it?
The company was running with negative ROI due to low ROAS and had to act fast. Same strategy executed on 3 accounts against 3 countries: DK, SE and NO.
Setup & Strategy
We started by setting up the DK account, where we focused on cost per conversion down and ROAS up. It is especially around the low season, which runs over the summer, there were challenges, so low budgets and bids must be run to ensure a positive ROAS of over 6X.
The Winter season, on the other hand, is about constantly scaling campaigns by gradually increasing budgets as conversion volumes increase and maintaining a ROAS of min. 6X for the customer while increasing revenue..
We have continuously removed irrelevant search terms from his search campaigns so that his ads only appear on relevant searches. In addition, we have found new relevant searches that we have bid on, which gave him results.
In terms of Google Shopping and Performance Max, we've focused primarily on his top-selling products, which have driven most of his revenue. While other lambskins and subcategories have received less budget in Google Ads. In this way, we have been able to ensure both a good sales volume and a reasonable ROAS.
After the Danish account had started to run with a stable ROAS, we rolled out the exact same setup to Norway and Sweden, and here we broke the record for Hubert in 2020 where in Norway alone the turnover in the first winter quarter was 4X.
We always try to automate as much as possible using Google smart algorithms, and for Hubert it has been a success so far, where we constantly adjust ROAS and CPA targets while allowing us to focus on ad quality and ongoing website sparring with the client
